It's like my hardware to get in sl is cursed or something...
After years of struggling to live sl on a Mac, on high resolution but with a graphics card that wasn't really fit for heavy gaming graphics, I got a wind hose laptop with a very powerful nVidia Idunnowhat card, making my sl look like I put on new glasses after years of being unaware of having poor eye vision.
Some might have noticed me being happy and eager to explore with my "new glasses". But some might also have noticed I crashed more often than before. After much suffering and investigation, I found out my new laptop's wifi has a problem. It's not even the crappy wind hose, it's the hardware. I found on the Internet I'm not the only one with the problem, and as the network cable I bought to stumble over in my living room and eventually enjoy sl without losing my connection all the time, gave up too soon, I'm going to follow the advise I found and buy a wireless USB thingy, hoping I will finally be able to enjoy sl again.
It's also true as I wrote before I also discovered a Vaio with a decent graphics card is not only good to play sl, but also "real" games like Skyrim, and I got quite hooked up to explore that virtual world.
And then there's that other game called rl, which still comes first, and it has gotten really demanding recently, leaving me less and less time to sit and relax watching pixels and interacting with real or artificial avatars. And those little moments I find the time to do so, crashing all the time isn't very appealing or relaxing, so most of the time I decide not to log on to sl, even though I more and more miss my sl family and friends..
So... let's hope I get this wifi USB thing soon. And let's hope also that it solves my connection problems and that I find some time to visit my family and friends in sl, and that there is still something left of sl worth exploring, or a good restricted experience to be immersed in... ;-)
I'm still...
