30 months

Yes, you are reading this well! After more or less exactly two and a half (2.5) years, it was about time to get out of my beloved latex isolation suit. It was getting a little worn and thin on some places, even the thick latex nowadays isn't always the best quality anymore!

And so I changed... into another latex suit!

While I'm still admiring the looks and materials of the TK iso suit, I switched scripts already long time ago for another experimental make, and so I think I was an (sometimes over-critical) tester for those. But meanwhile, those scripts have gotten their own suit, and while the first prototypes I saw didn't impress me much, the final version  - which is on sale - did.

Big drumroll...

I got special permission to unrestrict my view temporarily to be able to take some pictures. Maybe I should ask for extension of this, to take some more later on, as my vision being very limited was one of the reasons I posted so little, let's face it: nothing for one year even.

But to tell about the year between my previous post and this one: I was sealed and (very) restricted in my suit all the time.

So, about those scripts. This is not a product review, and as a sealed (locked) wearer, I usually haven't got access to the menus. But, this suit having a well done mesh build and a lot of materials and so on to customise it's look (without good looks I wouldn't have gotten out of my TKiso), its big power - in my eyes - is in its scripting, more especially in the API it provides to create 'beacons' that can command everything in the suit.
Again, this is not a product review and I'm not going into details. But for the techies, how I did my own extensions to the scripting was just by programming my own private 'beacon' in a HUD attachment. My HUD beacon also provides some practical buttons: my flashlight (very useful as my view is always darkened, but it uses a lot of battery power), the green 'yes' and red 'no' buttons (as my speach is limited, to say the least) and a button to switch on/off the battery saving mode (which preserves energy, but at the cost of making me see even less and also adds hearing limitations)
Here's another picture, where you can see my HUD.

There's a lot and another lot more and even more possibilities what you can do with this API, I haven't even touched most of them. But, if the latex on this suit is as durable as on TK's, I got some years to fiddle with it. ^^

So.. will there be another two and a half years in SL for me in this suit?

Love,
D5

(and I hope my next post will be sooner than in another year 😘 )

18 months... and counting!

Well... it's not that hard if you don't log in months in a row!

After again several months of not logging in to sl, I finally have logged in a few times again. I got amazed reactions when people realise I am (locked) in my suit for about one and a half year already, which is kinda fun. They should look at my sl age too, ahem *blushes*
In my eyes however, it doesn't feel like such a big achievement, because when you subtract all the time I haven't been online in sl, there wouldn't be much left of those 18 months. And perhaps it's also this rl distance I am able to take from sl nowadays, that allows me to persist in the suit and even still enjoy it.

Even during my long absences though, sl, and more in particular this full body latex suit, has never been completely out of my mind. I don't know what that tells about my... inner self?
Nah, I'm not going to elaborate on this one ^^

So, what brought me back? I don't know really. Some spare time? The need to "feel" my restrictions once more? Curiosity on how sl is evolving?

Probably the die hard fans will prove me wrong, but sl is considered a dying world, and somewhere I read about a "next generation" virtual world being developed (if only I could remember what or where, I could post a link or something..)
Anyway, my own observations tell me that in general the sl world might be shrinking, but a small core of (let's call them) die-hards keep visiting it and some even keep being creative in it, like by building all those beautiful mesh bodies and outfits, or by scripting all those evil restrictions. I'm still afraid the mass of visitors - and the money they are willing to pay - will eventually shrink below a critical point, where LL will decide to pull the plug. I am not following all of this close enough to have any funded idea how far we might be from this point, but if you are, feel free to discuss in the comments. Please don't blame me too much of being pessimistic though, I know that already! ^o^

Some of you know I'm on DeviantArt as well, although mostly as a consumer. I found this pic recently:
This could have been me!
...or not: my hair is white, and I am wearing different cuffs, and a chastity belt.

Thinking of DeviantArt, the drawback of being restricted as I am, i.e. with rather limited visual capacities, is that I can't produce any more deviant art. (as if I would have time for that)

Kisses... erhm, face visor light flashes,

Has it been that long?

OMG, has it been that long since my last post?
I'm sorry I didn't get to this earlier. I even missed the opportunity to celebrate me being in the ISO suit for one full (!) year!

Yes, and meanwhile it's already 14 months or something. But guess what: I'm not finished yet, I'm still loving being completely covered by latex. And also, my set up is still evolving, with some additional scripting now and then. It's mainly the scripting and the addition of new features (or restrictions) that keep me interested.

So a short update on the most recent changes: since yesterday night, I'm not able to speak anymore outside the drone station. It was already the only place where I had access to my inventory, where I could start IM, or where I could take of the suit's hood for short times.
From now on, when exploring or visiting friends, my only communication is blinking green (yes) or red (no), and limited emotes. Indeed, limited emotes: a small but smart trick forces me to think twice before emoting, and efficiently prevents me from (ab)using the emote channel to talk. For those remembering my good old hood scripts, it's been in there as well.
When outside the station, I've been unable to start IM for some time already, and that's still the case. I'm still able to read and answer IM however, so please don't feel held back to IM me: if it were to "ruin" my isolation, it would have been turned of, wouldn't it?

In exchange for being "silenced", I got my battery life doubled, to allow me to explore more, or longer. Did I tell you before any movement drains my battery? Whether it is walking, running, flying, or TP-ing? I can tell you it's pretty scaring when my battery runs dry somewhere abroad, and so it makes exploring with friends pretty stressful and even not really enjoyable anymore.
And since this suit is supposed to increase fun, and not lessen it, this fix is very welcome. Oh, and being silenced also adds to my battery life, as speaking is also a battery draining activity.

I have some more little scripting projects in mind, so in case you wonder, I'm not out of my beloved suit yet.
I'm also not sure how I would manage not being restricted anymore: some time ago I have been suffering some SL hiccups, resulting in me having unrestricted vision for some time, and I felt uncomfortable and disoriented by the things I'm not used to see anymore, like hover texts and bright colours. And peripheral vision of course, instead of this visor in the middle of my screen.

So. when we meet in world next time, please enjoy my silence!
(and if you don't want to, there's still IM ^^ )

Another month...

Yes, another month in my lovely suit passed by. Have I become my latex suit, has the suit become me? I don't know.
However I still feel human inside, not a drone, or robot, or android or doll. I'm getting used to my battery though, and to the bunch of restrictions that come with it.

As I wrote last time, I have been busy writing my own customisation scripts to plug in the already wicked scripts our family is using. The most important one is my "battery saving mode" where I can choose to have access to good environment interaction at the cost of a draining battery, or to be more restricted on vision, hearing, talking, and touch, but with a much longer battery life.
In reality, this ends me up nearly blind and deaf almost all the time when leaving the station, only switching off my "economy mode" to throw a quick glance around or to touch something, e.g. when I'm totally lost.
Even with this choice, my sl is pretty much dominated by the battery script that is locked into my suit. I always need to keep enough battery power left to TP back home to recharge.
However: Using Marine Kelly's treadmill or mousewheel, I can also recharge my battery. Or have someone else charging it. So, places where I can find one of these, might become my favorites to visit and hang out, as I can stay there longer. If you have one of these charging devices at your place, or know some fun hangout places that have them, please let me know. Or send me a LM, as not seeing location is one of my permanent restrictions.

What else did I add?
Oh yes, unless you have access to our station, you'll never see me without the suit's hood on, as there is no way for me to show my face outdoors. Indoors, I can take the hood off though, but only for limited times. I'd post a picture of my new glasses here, but that would break the concept of keeping my human looks private of course. ^^
I have some more ideas I'd like to implement. Indeed, I'm not at the end of my restrictions yet. I have no idea where it will end. Or when. All I know for sure now, is that my goal of being a full year in one single outfit, is coming near. All I need is some "extra" to keep it interesting. And challenging.

As my resrtrictive scripts are taking form, I have more time and desire to go roam a bit, and visit friends & family. And then of course I am thinking of the Eurobrats.
So yesterday, I passed by for another visit (and to see if they still have the charging mousewheel rezzed somewhere) and I accidentely dropped in a photo-session Miss Dio was doing with one of her very bound victims. Quickly I was added to the scene, here's the result.

I'd like to remark this is not how my suit is intended to look. To see it in its full glory, with the material texture, and the color effect I added, you'd need to put your sl viewer in a higher quality mode. I'd post some pics myself, but as my vision is pretty restricted, I can't take good pics myself, even when not in battery saving mode.
But I still like this pic, and Miss Dio's graphic settings resulted in me and the bound victim having very similar looks, which seems like the right artistic decision to me.

Restricted regards,

Battery power

I know, I know, it's been a while again! Not only here, but also sl has lacked my presence for some weeks (months?) again...
But once more I'm back, and even more, I'm writing a new blog entry right now!

So... what's there to tell? Where to start?

Ok, I'm still wearing the tkISO suit, for almost 9 months now. And if you might wonder, I'm still not yet tired of it, and I am dedicated to keep wearing it for the rest of the year, at least. And if I will ever take it off, keep a shower ready and pinch your nose!
But, to keep things interesting, the house where I have landed and where they gently push everyone to tighter and stricter rules and restrictions, has made a huge progress on alternative scripts to put in it. At first I was quite hesitant to leave alone the original tkISO scripts, as they are very well made and offer an intense experience, even though there is, of course, always place for improvements (I have given the maker some wicked ideas of mine, I'm still curious what she will do with it). But now, the alternative scripts are reaching a good level of maturity, and.. they have some features I could not ignore!
One of them is the Battery. Just like almost everyone in the house, I am now being powered by a battery that has a limited capacity and drains by time and by what I do, e.g. walking, TPing, but also talking! OK, there's more battery systems on the market, or even mechanical empowering with a giant key on your back. But this one is very well integrated with the rest of the scripts, and fully configurable. And it's quite fun to be together with people living under (almost) the same restrictions.
Conclusion: I am now sealed in my beloved suit by the non-standard scripts. All the time. And the restrictions are... strict. But the best thing is: I can write extensions to it, and apply them, without even having to be unlocked. Bzzzzzzzz.... can you hear my wicked fantasy working?

If you could excuse me now, I need to go recharge my battery ^^

My isolated life

I'm not sure where I want to go or what I try to reach, but yes: I'm still wearing my iso suit and enjoying it!

There are moments though where I am in doubt, usually when I see someone in another new toy or outfit, like the RF subset. But so far I stick to my outfit, and let's put the intention here to make the year round in it. To start with.
The only excuse for abandoning the suit I'm wearing, is to change into an updated one. Or into a copy  (with alternative scripts)

I told before I am not locked in it all the time, but it is some kind of a self imposed rule not to leave home unlocked (and unrestricted). I have been working on a script to lock me automatically when I leave the sim, but it's not the same thing as locking the suit's original scripts. I'd love to get that working...
So the next best thing is getting (time)locked before I go out, where a safe estimation is to be made on the time to set in the lock.

Next to that, there are some house rules I have been asked to follow, even though there is no speaking of collaring or ownership or whatever. They're just house rules. Wearing cuffs and a chastity belt all the time is one of them. Logging in and out from my pod is another important one, set specially for me. One I love and happily comply to, even though the random timer sometimes keeps me locked until about half an hour after I log in.

Ok, so what is there to tell about my isolated life?
Well, as I don't have too much time for sl these days, most days I don't get to TP out and visit places anymore, instead I have a little small talk, or sometimes a more technical discussion, with the people in the house. Unlocked, except when in my pod of course. Maybe I should try to take a nice picture of me resting floating in my pod...

But as it was time to venture a bit, I time locked myself earlier this week, to be ready to go out. I thought it would be nice to pay a visit to the long time traditional Friday night party of my precious Eurobrat family. So I did. Of course with limited vision and hearing, and not able to talk or start IM, I got myself an interesting and even slightly arousing experience. I missed some funny quotes for sure, and having to peek through a small slit, I had to cam around to get a view of everyone - still with distorted colours though - but I enjoyed the company. Thanks my friends!
And of course no one started an IM to me, just like the last time. But I was prepared to that, this time. And I longed for these restrictions anyway.

But still... I have been reading on the family blog there have been quite some changes, and it would have felt good to be able to talk about them. One thing in particular touched me: my sis Qt apparently has left sl?!

Oh.... and I'm wondering why I keep blogging here. Is anyone still reading this?

My profile picks #1: Eurobrats

Eurobrats HQ, Mount Everest (46.9375,225.656,23.0316)

I am proud to have submitted and given myself completely to Mistress Dio and her Ehesklavin Miss Jenny. I feel happily protected and caressed by my family.
However my collar is unlocked now, I'm still part of the family.

This is so far the longest part of my sl history. It started somewhere around April 2009, that's more than 6 years ago! Or about 3/4 of my sl. Even though I am living my sl at some distance right now, they will always remain my sl family!
